Charlotte Sunday brings to her Pilates practice thirty years of registered nursing experience, over twenty of them as a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Charlotte began her Pilates instructor training in 2009 with Julia Kreis at the Pilates Connection and attained PMA certification shortly after. Charlotte has also trained with Ruth Alpert, Michele Larson, Madeleine Black and Mary Bowen, done Polstar Pilates training, is certified in Functional Movement Systems, and studied Anatomy Trains. She trains with Sam Prouty for both Pilates and Gyrotonics. Combining her Pilates training with her medical background has enabled her to evaluate and treat musculoskeletal complaints with a new approach. Often musculoskeletal complaints can be resolved with appropriate exercises and stretching thereby decreasing or eliminating the need for expensive treatments and medications; patients and clients are delighted with that! It is exciting to see people attain better strength, balance, energy and quality of life through improved movement patterns. Charlotte's latest interest is in Somatic Experiencing, a means of treating emotional and physical trauma without reliving the trauma. She is going through training to be certified as a Somatic Experiencing practitioner.
